I have to admit, I'm kind of jealous of our neighbours and how they always end up getting the best of the best international rappers to perform in their countries. I'm talking about our immediate neighbours, Uganda and Tanzania, and not Africa as a whole.

Pic Of The Day: The 'Love Protest'

Kenyans were mobilized earlier today to protest against the ammendment of the new constitution by members of parliament, in a peaceful procession called 'the Love Protest'.

At the helm of this initiative was activist and Photojournalist Boniface Mwangi, who was recently featured on Jeff Koinange's 'Capital Talk' just this week. The Love Protest was meant to highlight the culture of impunity by urging Kenyans to rid themselves of negative leaders they consider as 'vultures'.

Boniface is also the man behind the artist's hands who painted the streets and walls of Nairobi with grafitti artwork, ushering in a new way of positive expressionism through art.

The theme of the Love Protest of June 28th 2012 was: "Kenya Is Our Home “My Voice, My Vote, Our Future” Kenya Ni Kwetu,Sauti Yangu,Kura Yangu, Maisha Yetu.

In the picture of the day, we can see 'coffins' for the 'vultures' with mesages of 'burry the vultures with your votes' sprayed onto them.
