The Swahili Fashion Week showcase is coming to Nairobi for the first time ever. In line with that, organizers have formally made public the list of Kenyan designers who will have the chance of showcasing their work at the premiere event.

Started in 2008 by Tanzanian designer Mustapha Hassanali, the Swahili Fashion Week has grown from primarily a Tanzanian affair to what may arguably be the largest Fashion event in East and Central Africa but by far a Swahili speaking countries' affair.

Mustapha is promising Nairobians a memorable fashion exhibition that will take place at the Safaricom Michael Joseph Centre on 6th October. Check out the Kenyan designers who made it to the list;
