UPDATE 2: Avril has now come out with a strongly worded denial in an interview with the Pulse Magazine:

Even though the Mama and Chokoza singer does not admit knowledge of ever having taken such photos or having a romantic affair with another female, her manager points to “a fellow player in the showbiz industry”. “You can read malice in the whole thing. These are showbiz wars made to discredit Avril as a popular figure and Ogopa as a recording stable. Investigations are underway and we are closing in on the suspects. But we won’t divulge any further information for now,” said Emmanuel Banda, the Ogopa artistes’ manager.
