There is no doubt that Kevin Pro'voke is one of the most respected producers in the country right now. On Imperfections, he experiments with that afro-futuristic sound we've been hearing a lot about nowadays. In other songs, it usually comes out a little too techno and maybe a little seedy club-y. But Pro'voke chills it out to produce a soothing melody that sounds closer to the kind of music Just-A-Band have been doing and no one has really been able to put down.
The song features model and law student, Annette, who does a great job as the solo vocalist on the song. The video, in my opinion, is the best of the year so far. It's smooth, goes well with the song and brings out the essence and soul of the music. It reminds me of Doe Paoro's video for Born Whole.
The art direction magnificent. We don't get much of the location but the props are interesting, even the couch and pipes which would have gone unnoticed. The coolest of the props are in the control room. Pro'voke and Annette as actors are also pretty good. The video is directed by DYMK films and the track by Pro'voke through 3D Music.
