We asked him about the impact of riddims on reggae. "As a core member of Empire Sounds, you are one the DJs who are spreading the Jamaican dancehall music genre specifically riddims among the Kenyan youth. What has the response been?"
He responded, "Empire Sounds is taking over! The response has been overwhelming, we have fans who even travel with us. We play both roots and dancehall, so you can be sure we balance."
We also asked him about a debate that has been the rage in the reggae music world, "Do you feel like riddims kill reggae/roots music?" He responded, "Roots will never die, dancehall came from roots, so the culture I believe is in sync."
