PR Representaives have however come out to say that the 'TPF App' will not see the light of day, at least for this season of the show. TPF and Samsung had initially agreed on developing a TPF app but the idea was shelved at the last minute due to the time it takes to code such an App particularly for external use beyond a closed user group.
Earlier press releases had alluded to the release of this application but speculation has all been cleared up.
Incase you haven't been reading Ghafla! well, eading beverage manufacturer, East African Breweries Limited (EABL) and consumer electronics firm Samsung Electronics East Africa (SEEA) sealed a multimillion sponsorship deal that will propel this year’s Tusker Project Fame 5 to a digital space.
On his part, EABL Group Managing Director and CEO Seni Adetu welcomed Samsung’s partnership, noting that it would deliver a unique experience to this year’s show. “We are constantly on the look-out for ways to bring much more than just world class entertainment to the millions of viewers tuning into Tusker Project Fame”.
Tusker Project Fame has thus been turned into a 'paperless' wonder where the contestants, faculty and judges will be able to communicate via Samsung Galaxy Tablets dished out to them.
