Insignia Productions are exploring the idea of a sketch comedy show in Kenya with the planned release of The Comedy Club, a half hour show hosted by JB and Allan, and shot in front of a live audience. The show will also feature celebrity guest hosts and a musical guest who will perform an acoustic version of a popular track of theirs.
There have been sketch shows in the country before, but this is one that truly follows the traditional sketch show format to the tee. Insignia Productions are the people behind the award-winning shows, Changing Times and Mheshimiwa, both of which aired on KTN. The Comedy Club which is described as "Saturday Night Live meets The Dave Chappelle Show" is coming soon. Watch out.
