Fresh from her holiday in Zanzibar, Miss World-Kenya, Shamim Ali is already getting down to work. The 19 year old beauty queen says she wants to be remembered for changing people’s lives in the society.

Shamim says she is spearheading the “Water for Life Campaign” because it is supposed to give back to the society since that’s what gives her so much pleasure and self-satisfaction. She also asserted that she wants to fight global warming because that way she will be able to touch many lives of women, children, and the poor as well as excluded people in Kenya and Africa as a whole.

Shamim Ali was among the 15 finalists in the 62nd Edition of the Miss World beauty pageant. She joins the list of past beauty queens who have taken up initiatives to help the society.

Go Shamim Go! Leave a footprint in the society.
