Diamond’s mother Sanura Sandra Kassim has clashed with religious zealots multiple times because of her ‘controversial’ taste for fashion.
Diamond’s mother is a Muslim, Islam demands women to dress modestly; wearing hijab and covering the head is obligatory in Islam. Sanura follows these rules most of the time.
Sanura has however caused uproar multiple times thanks to her fashion choice, her choice of clothing has many a times been considered as an impious attack on Islam by bigots who can’t stomach western-ish mode of dressing for Muslim women.
Most parents who have kids the age of Diamond are usually VERY conservative with what they wear but Sanura has no reservation when it comes to fashion; she can dress to look like a 26 year old post-graduate student at Kenyatta University.
