Parliament yesterday approved a controversial law that seeks to limit media freedom. Journalists will be liable for defamation should they publish reports on parliamentary proceedings that are deemed to be inaccurate. In other words, if you publish what MPs don’t like, you get a 2 year jail term or you will have to part with Kes 500,000. Am i seeing this country going back to KANU era?
