Jacob Juma’s brutal murder has instilled fears such kind of choreographed murders could be repeated on persons who have a knack for exposing rot in society.
The fallen whistle blower had known and unknown enemies who were eager to silence him for good. Jacob is gone but there are still a number of whistle blowers and activists who are doing what he used to do and who might also fall victim to assassin’s bullet.

The former Moi University student leader popularly known as Dikembe Disembe is another notorious nuisance.
Dikembe has a massive following on social media and is associated with the opposition. He is deemed controversial by pro-government fanatics.
Some two years ago, Dikembe was charged with hate speech in a Nairobi court and released on a Kes 5 million bond.
Dikembe rarely exposes someone but he is considered a dangerous mouthpiece for inciting the mass by his critics, some who are very powerful.
