I Experienced Worse Than Shatta Wale And Stonebowy Did In Nigeria -Sarkodie

Multiple awards-winning rapper, Sarkodie has revealed that he had had much humiliations in Nigeria as an artiste than Shatta Wale and Stonebowy did.

On August 24, 2018, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy experienced what is said to be the proverbial

attitude of the Nigerian music fan towards non-Nigerian artistes.

The audience at a concert to launch the office of Zylofon Media and MenzGold in the country

looked on unconcerned during performances by the Zylofon Music artistes.

This issue has made so many headlines with many Ghanaians ‘blasting’ Nigerians for

humiliating their two top artistes.

But Sarkodie, sharing his experience in a recent interview on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty

said his experience was much worse than that of Shatta and Stonebowy.

According to the ‘Gboza’ hitmaker, he “nearly” decided not to go to the country again

following the terrible experiences he had.

“For my first 2, 3 times, I nearly said I will not go to Nigeria again. They are like that, even what you guys saw (during the official launch of Menzgold in Nigeria) was good. ” Sarkodie told Andy Dosty on Hitz FM Monday morning.

He also added that;

“If your song is played once, it doesn’t mean the people will know it, but if it’s been rotated, that’s when the people will know it so they don’t do that, in their clubs, on the TV and radio.”
