Octopizzo Slams South African Magazine For Belittling Him
Kibera’s finest is a happy sad man thanks to what South Africa hip hop magazine published that caught his attention.
Early today, the country woke up to good news. Kibera’s finest was accorded international recognition on a publication that was run by South Africa hip hop magazine.
Octopizzo was highly rated among the finest African artists on a list that featured 20 revered hip hop musicians from across mother Africa.
Octo was ranked 13th best African hip hop artist of 2015. Even though it’s a ‘palatable’ position, Octo thinks the South African magazine belittled him.
In a telephone conversation with Ghafla! Octo revealed he was happy to be featured on the list while at the same time he was sad he was rated ‘very’ low.
He says he ought to be among the five best hip hopers. The list emphasized on an artist’s international appeal and video quality all of which Octo said are conspicuously embedded on his CV. He can’t comprehend why he was locked at position 13th when he deserved something better.
Asked which Kenyan artist ought to join him on that list, the flamboyant rapper said Kenyan rappers are yet to play on his league. (Video quality and international appeal.)
“Kenyan rappers may shine at home but their wings are clipped at international stage.” Explained Octo.
Of course we enticed him to talk about Khaligraph. He said his nemesis may shine for a fraction of a second but didn’t have the gusto to keep him on top of the game.
In simpler term, Octo meant Khaligraph was a sprinter. He can’t dare run a marathon!
