Zari Hassan Weds Shakib In Pretoria, South Africa

Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan and Shakib Lutaaya are officially married! The couple tied the knot in a grand ceremony in Pretoria, South Africa, on October 3, 2023.

Friends and family, including some of the cast of the Netflix reality show “Young, Famous & African,” were in attendance to celebrate the couple’s special day. All of Zari’s children were also present, with her three older sons dressed in all-white outfits.

Zari looked stunning in a gold gown with a white veil and net, while Shakib was dapper in a shiny suit. Their youngest son, Nilan, was dressed in a similar outfit to his father, while Zari’s daughter, Tiffah, wore a beautiful gown.

The wedding comes just months after the couple had a traditional wedding known as a Nikah in April 2023.

In a previous interview, Zari revealed that she has everything she needs in life and that what she needed most was to strengthen her faith as a Muslim. Shakib gave her a Quran as her bride price.
