Resident Rabble Rouser Cabu Gah Defends Shebesh!

Rachel Shebesh has regrettably been in the news for all the wrong reasons. She has been the punching bag of her male colleges Kidero and Sonko.

We all know that she was slapped by Kidero and it is alleged that Sonko broke her hand after an altercation. These incidents have made her the laughing stock of Kenyans, memes and jokes have been made over her plight. The resident rabble rouser Cabugah does not find this funny and has a sober message for Kenyans and men who beat women. This is what he says:

How does it feel to watch your own wife get battered and violated in public? Watch your own wife reeling from pain and wailing herself hoarse in public?

How does it feel as a husband, to read the many, many jokes and jabs directed at YOUR wife on social media? To watch people harangue her, lambast her, blast her and create tasteless memes of her on the internet?

God, IT MUST BE damn awful.

Awful to read tabloid rags publishing sordid stories of how YOUR wife received a thumping in some exclusive hotel by a man perceived to be her illicit cahoots.

It must hurt the man. Hurt him deep when his wife has been reduced into a city punching bag.

It must hurt the children even more.

I would hate to watch men beating up my mother, almost cracking her jaws and splintering her hands.

I would hate to watch Mum shuttle from Police Station to Police station to report assault cases from regular men, leaders and workmates.

I would hate to watch callous people ridiculing my Mum, spinning painful jokes about her and speculating on who is going to beat her up next.

That would HURT. As her son, it would. But it would hurt MOST as a hubby.

It’s ALREADY WRONG to beat up YOUR own wife! It’s even WORSE to beat up someone else’s wife!

Or do they have a right??It’s simply sickening. I can’t stand this.

She could be a beast, a devil or a demon BUT NONE of that would justify a man to batter her senseless.

It’s obvious, she can’t beat you back. It’s obvious, she can’t DEFEND herself physically.

She may yell, scream and shout in your nose BUT none of that would justify physical violence.

None.
