Akothee Dismisses Fake TikTok Reports of Road Accident

Celebrated Kenyan musician and entrepreneur Akothee has rubbished claims circulating on TikTok alleging she had been involved in a road accident on her way to the Maasai Mara National Park.

The artist confirmed she is currently in the United Kingdom on vacation, not in Kenya as the false reports suggested.

Akothee’s Response

Taking to Facebook, Akothee shared screenshots of the TikTok video and made it clear the rumors were baseless.

“Wait, hata mimi nangoja menopause kwanza, usiniharakishe na kifo. Yaani, if Kenyans were selling Oxygen, I swear they won’t serve me. I am still in the UK—hakuna Maasai Mara huku,” she wrote.

Frustrated by the spread of dangerous misinformation, she warned content creators against fabricating stories and cautioned her acquaintances not to forward such rumors without verification.

“And to my acquaintances with my contacts, don’t send me things you get on social media if not from my page or my family pages. Utakula Block,” she added.

She reminded fans that she alone will communicate any updates on her health or personal life.

A VIP Weekend in the UK

As the rumors spread, Akothee was enjoying an exclusive weekend in Manchester. She attended the high-profile Premier League clash between Manchester United and Chelsea at Old Trafford as a VVIP guest.

United clinched a 2-1 victory in the dramatic encounter that saw both teams reduced to 10 men—Chelsea’s goalkeeper Robert Sánchez receiving an early red card, followed by Manchester United’s Casemiro later in the game.
