Media personality DJ Bonez has moved to dispel rumors that his marriage to Kamene Goro is on the rocks. The clarification comes shortly after Kamene shared a deeply personal account of her recent health crisis, which saw her admitted to the ICU and HDU earlier this year.

A Difficult Recovery and “Bystander Trauma”

Kamene recently opened up about a harrowing hospital stay that coincided with Valentine’s Day. She revealed that her husband was notably absent during her time in intensive care—not out of malice, but because he found the medical environment too traumatic to handle. While her mother and sister provided constant bedside support, Kamene noted that the first face she saw upon waking up was her long-time friend, MP Jalang’o, whom she praised for his unwavering presence.

“We Are Still Together”

Speaking in an interview with Alex Mwakideu, DJ Bonez addressed the speculation surrounding their living arrangements. He confirmed that while Kamene has been staying with her parents, it is strictly for the purpose of recuperation.

“We are still together unless there is something else you guys know that I do not,” Bonez stated. “She has been at her parents’ since she got sick. Yes, we see each other… we usually see each other at home.”

Despite the public curiosity, Bonez remained guarded about the specifics of their domestic life. He admitted to visiting her at her parents’ home and noted that she also spends time at their shared residence as she regains her strength.

“I do not want to say anything that will eat me back,” he remarked, opting to keep the finer details of their relationship private while firmly shutting down any talk of a permanent separation. For now, the focus remains on Kamene’s steady path to full health under the care of her family.
