It is official. Big Tunes Live are by far the best reggae event organisers Kenya has ever worked with

Ever since these guys came to town, things have been different for the reggae enthusiasts. Reggae events have never been the same again, and I say this in the most positive of ways. Reggae fans can finally come out to the concerts and enjoy the sweet music stress free.

Before the Big Tunes Live Entertainment crew stepped foot in Kenya and collaborated with other entertainment bodies like Dohty Family, reggae concerts were a no-go zone for most. No matter how much you loved reggae, you had to be one crazy nut case to attend a reggae concert in Kenya. If not, then you just went prepared to donate your wallet and maybe pieces of your clothes to the obbs who dominated and ruled this concerts.

Reason for all this blasphemy? The event organisers who were behind most of these reggae concert were just too cheap to assure the reveller of tight security and when they actually promised them security, it was only available at the gate. I know you might sense some bitterness in these words, but it’s only because I have witnessed this with my eyes. Well, that was before the Big Tunes crew took over the Reggae concerts by international artistes.

It all started with the Tarrus Riley and Etana concert. This was the most peaceful and relaxed reggae concert that I have ever attended in Kenya (before Jah Cure). Those that payed didn’t even feel a pinch. It was worth spending those thousands on them tickets, and so was the Jah Cure concert that took place last Saturday at Kasarani.

At these Big Tunes organised reggae concerts, fans of all status can step up. We even met up with some Kenyan celebrities having the time of their lives at the concert. Dancing to the sweet reggae music. Not holding on to their wallets and hand-bags. Totally free.

With these guys around, it is now safe and worth it to attend the reggae concerts. Big Tunes got this.

Stay tuned for the Jah Cure concert photo gallery.
