EXCLUSIVE: Holy Dave Apologizes in Brand New Track
Holy Dave says his work is to research and properly understand issues affecting my target market. He further explains, “It’s my duty to use the four minutes bestowed upon me to bring out these issues in the most appealing way so as to be able to capture and retain attention of my audience.”
HD also works on giving hope, showing how he can rise from the given situation. “Let’s be honest, as much as we smile on the streets and walk chin up we are going through a lot. I do music to inspire, to motivate, to encourage and to lead others to Christ who is my hope. I am resilient, I am not perfect but I rather try and fail every day than not try at all,” he says.
He believes that a successful storyteller is one who is able to put himself into an imaginary (or real) character’s shoes and to embrace his/her issues to a point that one can feel the character’s emotion in the writers writing. “A successful writer goes on to internalize the story and to remit it against a personal backdrop,” he further explains.
HD believes that every day we have something to be thankful for and something to be sorry for. “It is on this premise that I wrote this song. For the record, this is not a true story, [laughs],” he explains.
Check out his new track titled Aki Pole/I’m Sorry in which he features Sly on the hook. The song was produced by Davi “Moch” of Tam Tam Records. Check out the brand new track below.
