Music Producer’s Life in Danger over ICC Remark
A music producer is living in fear after he made remarks about the ICC process. Geoffrey Machira claims that he and his family have been receiving threats over the same. Following a story published in The Star newspaper Machira is reported to have alleged that deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and former head of Public Service Francis Muthaura were not at a meeting at State House that has featured prominently in The Hague proceedings.
Geoffrey Wanjau Machira told the Star from his hideout that the police have been harassing his family and that they have even paralysed his business. Machira also said that his aide has received calls from two people demanding to know about his whereabouts.
“Gagging my family, eliminating them or I, finishing my business will not stop me whatsoever from telling the truth. Intimidation and threats will not force me to change my stand, fabricate stories or disown what I know”, he said.
“My family has every right to do business, enjoy security and their privacy should and must be respected” added Machira.
