Artiste Overcomes Tragedy to Make Inspiring Music

H3 Thomas was born and brought up in Kawangware slums, lost parents to AIDS and kid brother to gang-related killings. He just graduated from USIU with MBA (Finance) in August this year.

H3 is affiliated with Madlove Lounge. This year he dropped first single, Freedom, off his upcoming album, Black & White. In Freedom he featured Span One, and had the video done by Enos Olik.

In his new single, Fame, he features Sauti Ya Muziki band member, Waithera. Her music is inclined to the eclectic sounds of soul, Jazz & B and a little bit of afro. She is also a student at Sauti Academy, Penya Africa’s Talent Development Programme and USIU.

The two wrote fame while in USIU and recorded it at Real Tym Recordz. It’s a song about how people chase the wrong things in life mostly fame and material things which end up being vanity and others make the situation worse to the extent of selling their souls to the devil. Listen to the inspiring Fame below.
