Kaz Wants to Make It On Broadway
Kaz is still looking to go to New York City to pursue her passion in musical theatre. She is looking to specifically enter the Broadway scene, one of the most respected theatre platform in the world. In her teens, besides music, Kaz performed theatre.
In an interview with Ghafla!, we asked the afro soul singer about her prospects in New York. “In 2010, you went to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and won a trophy. There were huge prospects of you going to Broadway at the time. Do you still have that dream?” Her response, “My biggest dream yet. When the funds are available to me, I’ll be headed to NYC to pursue my love for musical theatre.”
With more than a decade’s experience in both music and theatre, she has a good chance of making a crack in Broadway. Kaz premiered her documentary series on influential African women this week. The first episode of the series featured actress, former TV host and entertainment manager, Lorna Irungu. She also released a song for the documentary and a video is expected soon.
