Sauti Sol to Perform in Amsterdam

Kenyan boy-band Sauti Sol performed at an electric farewell show last week at Sheebeen in Upper Hill. The show was the afro soul group’s last show in the country before they head to Amsterdam to promote their latest self-titled EP, produced by Spoek Mathambo.

The band has regularly visited the Netherlands capital to promote their projects. ‘Sol announced a show at the MC Theatre on the 5th of July at 2000hrs. Nina Simone is expected to perform at the same venue later this year. They also revealed, through their Twitter, that they would shoot a video for Range Rover, off their latest EP, in Netherlands.

Sauti Sol is made up of Bien-Aime Barasa and Willis Chimano on vocals, Delvin Mudigi is a vocalist and drummer while Polycarp Otieno plays the guitar. The band performed at this year’s South by South West Festival and Big Brother’s eviction show earlier this month.
