Jua Cali Speaks About His Upcoming Album and Working With Juliani

Jua Cali, in an interview with Homeboyz Radio, spoke his recent and upcoming projects. He explained why he recorded his latest hit, Kuna Sheng. He realized that Kenyans have been speaking sheng for years but no one ever really appreciates it. So, he made the song that would make people proud about the unique language.

He also spoke about his upcoming album. He revealed that the title will be Genge Yajayo and confirmed featured tracks: Kuna Sheng, Si Siri with Juliani and Baba Yao among others.

The Calif artistes also spoke about how he came to do a track with celebrated gospel artiste, Juliani. He called up Juliani and asked him to do Si Siri, a song where they thank God for keeping them in the industry for long. Juliani agreed and about two days later, the song was done.

On being asked about whether the song is about showing off, he maintained that it was not. He explained that it’s just about thanking God and appreciating what He has done for them. It’s also about how they started and the genesis of their struggle in music. You can listen to Si Siri below.
