Jaguar isn’t afraid to speak up!

Jaguar of late seems to have his voice when it comes to matters to matters most celebrities are too scared to have an opinion on!

And i for one love this new revolutionary Jaguar!

Oflate he has been vocal on matters of political relevance and by that i don’t mean that he has been shamelessly pandering and ingratiating himself to the political class. Au contraire, he has been pointing out the rubbish in what they do.

Jaguar’s new track “Matapeli” has gone HAM on the reality of Kenya’s politics and i for one laud his decision to stand up and be counted.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to add my voice to the stream of congratulatory voices he’s hearing when it comes to his stance on the hate speech singers. He came out strongly and with no unsure words told them what-for. Given that he belongs to the same community these artists belong to and claim to speak for (Agikuyu) it must have taken great courage to istand up and break from the crowd to state what he felt was his truth.

To understand the amount of courage he’s had to muster, one needs to understand the flawed ideology of tribal unity. In a nutshell, it means that Kikuyus and indeed even those from other tribes cannot go against the tribal chieftain.

Kudos Jaguar for standing up for what you believe in irrespective of the blowback and indeed, i salute you as not just a revolutionary but as a true Kenyan!
