B.LC started out in late 2008 with the three rappers Jinx, P-16 and Mic Eazy: the initials were the same but stood for the ‘Bin Laden Clique’ symbolizing how they ‘bombarded beats’. Starting out their music as a pass time, they realized the potential they had and speedily switched their identity to ‘The Big League Clique’ which to them, had a more marketable appeal. They consequently added another artist to the outfit; Young Haze.
In 2010, BLC dropped their first compilation titled “The Lethal Dose” and were amazed by the waves of positive response they got from all who heard it which in turn motivated them to pursue their music even more intensely.
In 2011 they went large scale and worked with different producers and artists such as Dice Entertainment, Fant, K.O and even Rabbit. Check out some of the work:

It is around this time that Smooth Poet (P-16’s younger brother )came in from Canada where he was pursuing a solo career and joined the Big League Clique as an affiliate while still focusing on his solo career. The first joint track they released was titled ‘Disrespectful’ and received such a huge buzz that they got to perform the track at Freaks and Geeks courtesy of Camp Mulla; the birth of 254low:

This year, Smooth Poet got to be featured in the hugely successful 254low cypher vol II and they hoped to be featured on the CHAT awards which are set to be broadcast this Saturday, 21st April 2012.
BLC are releasing another mixtape in May, which will be titled ‘Pre-Paid’ accompanied by a couple videos subsequently.
