This unique honour belongs to ‘Muthoni Kifagio’ a song sung by “Short But Tough” Newton Karish. This video went viral even before Facebook hit in Kenya. Back in the days when e-mail forwarding was the only way to share stuff online.

This song is hilarious! Karish talks about how he met a girl, brought her to the city and now she has turned on him. During the song, he drops funny lyrical gems, such as:

“Wewe ni usilessi, wewe ni mbaselessi, Karishi mwanamuembu sitafongeti your mbehaviour…”

Unfortunately, the maestro behind the cult hit passed away a few years back. May Newton Karish rest in peace knowing that he left us with some good times.
