This Is Why Muthoni Still Does Music, Despite B&W Success

So a few days back, I wrote an article that asked, “Why Does Muthoni Still Sing? Blankets & Wine Seems Like a Terrific Business!”

After doing some back of the napkin calculations, I figured that Blankets & Wine could be making around 5 million bob per month, with Muthoni taking home a hefty portion of that.

But alas! My calculations seemed to be wrong! Muthoni came out to answer the question, where she told us:

“Thank you for your attention. Still your piece is very speculative and over estimated. And missing the real story.”

Alright, so it seems that my 5MM estimate missed the mark. Blankets and Wine does not make that much money.

On why she makes music, she told us:

“I sing because its part of my purpose. And its my intention to fulfil my souls plan. So I sing.”
