It is unfortunate that we were swept off our feet completely by the Obama visit that we did not see what was happening on the other side.

Blogs, mainstream media and social media were all occupied with Obama and his maiden visit to Kenya, his father’s homeland. There was no room to show how NTV girl was walked down the aisle in a colourful wedding ceremony that was attended by family and close friends only.

Mercy Juma, a reporter  with NTV, entered another very crucial phase of her life over the weekend, and the ceremony was as glamorous as anyone would expect.

The lucky man slid the ring down Mercy’s finger in the presence of her parents, friends and relatives as the two exchanged vows as it is a tradition.

Pomp and colour took centre-stage as those who were lucky to get the invite were treated with beautiful scenes from the ceremony that went down at Dinharm Gardens, Tigoni in Limuru.

John Okande is the lucky man.
