KTN Finally Welcomes Their New Baby
After months of anticipation, hectic and heated meetings and nail-biting out of apprehension, tonight KTN welcomes their new baby.
The new station KTN News will be an East African 24 hour news and current affairs channel that will be available on GOtv on Channel 94 and Channel 274 on DSTV, A slot previously occupied by Kiss TV.
The new station intends on serving two purposes . One:” delivering comprehensive, incisive news, current affairs programming, documentaries and features.”
Two, to cater to the common mwanachi whowill now have unlimited access to news even if they miss the news bulletins traditionally aired at 7pm and 9pm.
“There is a lot that does not reach the common mwananchi in terms of news. Ordinarily, TV news bulletins have traditionally been aired between 7pm and 9pm. Now KtnNews will address the interests of viewers who are not at home around that time for one purpose or another.” said Sam Shollei, Standard Group’s Chief Executive Officer
