Racism In The US: Kenyan Woman And Her 6 Months Old Son Stabbed To Death In California

The US has been making news lately for all the wrong reasons. After a man stormed a church in one of the states and shot to death 9 worshipers, Kenyans have been dealt a major blow after one of our own was killed together with her 6 months old son, the Daily Nation reports.

Maureen Wanjiku and her son were found with serious injuries in their apartment in Anaheim, California, by police who had been alerted by a call through 911.

The mother died from the injuries on the scene of the ordeal while her son succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to hospital.

According to the neighbours, they suspect the deceased’s lover, Mr. Kwame Carpenter, whom they say they saw fleeing from the house after the ordeal.

Police are already trailing the suspect and have labeled him a person of interest. His photos have been circulated in the US for assistance.

Relatives of the deceased have expressed their anger at the unfortunate incidence.
