Tanzania’s Idris is the official winner of Big Brother Africa Hotshots, the lad is taking home 300,000 US dollars (Kes 27 million).

Curtains came down on Big Brother Africa Hotshots Season 9 last Sunday, 21 years old Idris from Tanzania emerged as the winner of the 63 days Africa’s biggest reality show. Eight housemates were eying the top price but the race narrowed down to Idris and Nigerian Tayo who remained as the final two at the very last minutes of BBA Hotshots.

Idris received five country votes; these were from Kenya, Namibia, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. The runner-up, Tayo, received two country votes: Nigeria and Mozambique. The rest of the finalists received country votes as follows: Macky2 got two country votes from Zambia and the Rest of Africa, Nhlanhla also got two country votes from South Africa and Botswana, JJ got one country vote from Zimbabwe, Sipe also got one country vote from Malawi and Butterphly received 0 country votes.

Apart from winning BBA Hotshots, Idris also made history in the house , he “dated” and flirted with most ladies in BBA Hotshots; Botswana’s Goitse, South Africa’s Samantha and Uganda’s Ellah all fell for his charms and it appears his strategy won him BBA Hotshots, African viewers voted for him in their numbers.
