After Raiding NTV, KTN Feel The Pain As BBC Deals Them A Similar Blow
It is not long since Kenya Television Network (KTN) landed in Nation Centre along Kimathi street and poached one of NTV’s best reporters. The pain was evident then at the expense of NTV while KTN smiled away, knowing that they had landed one of the many talented journalists in Kenya.
However, this time round KTN are feeling the pinch as British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) have come for the same journalist and managed to lure him away from Mombasa Road.
Ferdinand Omondi has landed the lucrative job with the foreign global media house after a short stint with KTN where he reported from Coast.

Revealing his new job on his facebook page, Omondi said that he cannot wait for the new challenge and environment awaiting him ahead as he ventures into global journalism.
He revealed that he will be a bilingual reporter for BBC, meaning he will be reporting in bothe English and Kiswahili for the British-owned media house.
This, for a journalist, is a milestone that is hard to come by and when such an opportunity arises, one cannot wait to jump to it.
Here is what Ferdinand posted in his facebook page:

“Today, a new chapter begins in my career as a journalist. I have had memorable times in local media, most recently KTN. I am most grateful. This 1st day of December, 2014, is also my first day in the world of Global Journalism. I am now a bilingual reporter for the BBC. Thank you for the support throughout. I look forward to sharing the African story with the world. Thank you for staying with me.”
