Ghafla Poll: Which One Is Hotter? ‘Sura Yako’ The Original Song Or The Remix?

Not very long ago, a group of four strapping young men decided to create a song in praise of a beautiful woman. The song was named Sura Yako and a lot of people fell in love with the new song. It was really good and the critics who had doomed the band to fail after ‘Nishike’ had to eat the humble pie and acknowledge that ‘Sura Yako’ was indeed a hit.

Weddings since then were not complete without Sura Yako getting played. The women, the men and the children alike danced flamboyantly to this beautiful track and knew the words by heart. It was applauded as the song of that year and no song could come close.

The four young men decided it was time they brought in a renowned artiste from a land way beyond the hills.

A man whose body rivaled Lwanda Magere’s, a man whose face made the ladies keel over and a man who was distinguished for creating songs that people on their feet, dancing. They brought in THE MAN,Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk. And so the West met the East and the people waited for the new version of the song.

Many had sleepless nights wondering how big this hit would be,so when the song was released many rushed to view the song.Man, it sucked, big time! Colossally! It was like a kick in the face.It was off and displeasing to the ear. “What could have gone wrong?” we wondered.These are the some of the best artistes in Africa,it was supposed to surpass the original song.Countless people  were of the opinion that Iyanya appearing on the intro was just off and his voice sounded raspy, he should have been pushed somewhere away from the intro.

“What sorcery is this?” many of those who worship at the ‘Sauti Sol’ wondered but none squeaked a word for they did not want to be the ‘haters’ the Negative Nancies and the Debbie Downers.

Today we give a chance for those who liked the song to defend it, by the power of a vote. And for those who didn’t like it, to make their truth be known.
