Meet Sophie Umazi the Kenyan Teen International Media Can’t Stop Talking About

At the tender age of 20, Sophie Umazi Mvurya is a Kenyan teen International media can’t get enough of.

Ranked on the same list with the youngest ever Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai from Pakistan, Kenyan Sophie Umazi Mvurya flies the country’s flag high as her name is firmly conspicuous on the list of ten most outstanding teens who have changed the world.

Sophie is the CEO and Founder of I Am Kenyan project which provides a unique platform for the advocating for individual responsibility for peace and unity in Kenya through the use of art and photography, collaboration, concerts, marches, resource mobilization and facilitation of youth programs. It is through her effort in this project that BBC recognized (see video here) her struggle to make a positive change and even ranked her among the ten game changing teens from all over the world.

Sophie is also not only the CEO of I Am Kenyan project, she is also a  designer at Umazi fashion and a fitness trainer at SUZI FIT. Her entrepreneurial skills are simply amazing and it’s clearly evident she is going places.
