Former Papa Shirandula Actor Weighs In On The Kanyari And Kiuna Scandal

Victor Kanyari has been on the news for all the wrong reasons, the most outstanding one being conning his wide-eyed followers. The Kiuna’s were also thrown under the bus by Ali when he posted a photo of their opulent mansion claiming that it was built on people’s sweat and tears.

Gerald Langiri whom you may have spotted from ‘In the Forest’ and ‘Papa Shirandula’ weighed in on the recent scandals in the gospel ministry. This is what he had to say:

While I think aloud, allow me to ask, is there a church that doesn’t require you to part with your money when you attend it? I mean, isn’t the difference between ‪#‎Kanyari‬ and the many other pastors/priests we have is that he has been caught? Atleast He was straightforward about it “kijana wewe hapana enda haujatowa sadaka”. The rest ‘genuine’ ones simply make you feel guilty/scared about not giving and quote a few bible verses because if you dont give, then you are a bad bad person. How many of us ask “where does our Sunday contributions go to? How is it accounted for?” Or by asking such questions we are going to be labeled “non believers and how dare you question a man of God?
Can you just have faith and believe in the “chosen one”? Honestly, if you give out of the kindness of your heart hoping that your 100 shilling note will be put into good use in the name of the lord, why don’t the 10 of you,put together the 1000 shilling and buy something small and feed the truly hungry and clothe the homeless? Is it no wonder that churches have become a multimillion industry and probably the biggest scam ever? And others are now saying Kiuna is bragging for playing golf and showing off his mansion, but why not? If indeed it is church money, it is hard work lol preaching aint easy yo! Our faiths and believes are and will always be used against us because people know it is the one thing you’ll go through hell and back to protect…and for that, please mpesa me ksh 500 or else, you are a sinner and you will die a horrible death if you don’t and you will go to hell because that is just how the system works..PS, I am looking at the church as an institution not questioning your religion or believes…that is usually a debate that never ends.
