Muslims worldwide are known to stick to strict rules and regulations, among them being how and when to bury their dead. In the Islamic laws, the deceased should be buried within 24 hours of their death and going beyond that is contrary to the strictly adhered to Islamic laws.

However, following the death of the renowned Kenyan scholar, Prof. Ali Mazrui, who is a Muslim, the rules and regulations are bound to be broken because of the distance between Kenya and the USA, where Prof. Mazrui died.

The celebrated greatest writer of our time died in Binghamton, USA early today and the news came as a shock to not only his native Kenya, but also the whole world. He was a famous academia.
