The Latest Beauty Queen Is a Teacher! (Photo)

Kenyan teachers are known for so many things, making all other careers possible, dishing out cleverly planned punishments and having memorable personalities, most of them coupled with heavy mother-tongue influence.

But 21 year old Lydiah Marcella Manani wants to show that there is more to teachers than we are used to .She recently nabbed the Miss Earth beauty crown.    Lydia beat out 13 other beautiful contestants in a glamorous event held on Friday at the famous Carnivore Restaurant to become the fairest of them all.

Grace Wanene and Theresah Mwende walked off with the second and 3rd place in that order.

Lydia will represent Kenya in the ‘Miss Earth ’pageant that will be held on November 29, 2014 at the University of the Philippines Theater in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines
