She was former Miss USIU in 2010/2011 and famed for her role as Mimo in East Africa’s favorite soap opera Mali. Her character Mimo is meddlesome and a easy target for love.Her love was for Richard Mali an aristocrat but her love was not reciprocated leading to her making unwise and downright embarrassing decisions.

The part was played very skillfully by Gladnesss Shao who was picked from the crowd by the director thanks to her outstanding Swahili accent. The actress has however said that she is very much unlike her character Mimo.So how did Gladys look before all the fame and glam?
