Celebrated Citizen TV Presenter Joins The Bungoma Senatorial Race

You know him as one of the three panelists on Citizen TV’s leading political talk show Cheche.

He also appears on Sunday Live as a straight shooting political analyst. He is David Makali. According to Nation.co.ke the member of the fourth estate has launched his bid for the Bungoma senatorial seat.

This comes afterMakali  recovered from a horrible road accident about five months ago. He will face off political big shots such as with Mr. Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya), Mr. Musikari Kombo (New Ford Kenya) and Mr. Bifwoli Wakoli (Labor Party).

The seat fell vacant after Moses Wetang’ula lost seat following a successful petition filed by Musikari Kombo. Court Judge Francis Gikonyo cited in his ruling that Mr. Wetang’ula had been involved in malpractice and double registration

The journalist is flying solo unlike his counterparts with no support of any political party or coalition in the country and rebutted claims that he was being endorsed   by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
