This Why Limuru Road Which Leads To The Leafy Suburb Of Runda Is Currently The Most Talked About Road In Kenya

Limuru Road has received unrivalled attention following the directive from Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero.

Limuru Road will never be the same again. The road is being renamed in honor fallen Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Prof. Wangari Maathai.

The renaming of Limuru Road has received thumbs up from Kenyans who felt it had been long time coming.

The road pass through Karura Forest, a vibrant ecosystem the late Professor shed blood to protect from companies that wanted to destroy it.

The road also leads to UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) headquarters in Gigiri; a global agency that resonates with the work of Prof. Wangari Maathai.

Governor Kidero said the renaming of Limuru Road was to thank the departed heroine for what she did for the country especially in her struggle for environmental conservation.
