Newly Married Athlete Suffers The Shock Of Her Life During Her Honeymoon
Honeymoons are often characterized by destinations to exotic destinations, love and happiness, but for one female Kenyan athlete, her honeymoon will remain unforgettable thanks to an unfortunate incident.
Agatha Jeruto who wed her 44 year old Norwegian lover Olev Bastiansen was recently slapped with a ban of four years after failing a drug test.
Nairobi News reports that the 21 year old athlete tested positive for Norandrosterone, a drug that has been prohibited in sports for close to 39 years.

“The samples provided by the athlete revealed the presence of the prohibited substance. In reference to IAAF Rule 40.2 (a) II, a four year period of ineligibility has been imposed on the athlete effective 20th May 2015 and will end on 19th May 2019.” said a statement from Athletics Kenya
Long distance runner Josephine Jepkoech Jepkorir was also banned after failing a doping test on April 14 in Eldoret.
Jeruto is famous for winning the silver medal alongside other Kenyan women in the 4x800m relay race at the World Relay 2014 Championships held in Bahamas.She has even been featured by Nike as one of Kenya’s elite runners.
