From the moment he made the first stride in comedy to date, Chipu has always flown under the wings of Churchill. Things are now changing, real first.
Eric Omondi was the first comedian to ‘walk out’ of Churchill Show and started his own standup comedy. And he’s excelling, Eric Omondi Untamed and other successful show he previously hosted prove so.
Chipukeezy is walking in the footsteps of Eric Omondi. The comedian has been trying to woo relevant persons and agencies to sponsor his solo projects and he has ultimately secured their backing.
Mount Kenya University, ABC Bank, Stima Sacco, Machakos County are some of the entities that have supported Chipukeezy in his bid to host his first ever standup comedy abroad.
MKU is even sponsoring four people to fly to Dubai to attend the comedian show in Dubai dubbed ‘Chipukeezy In Dubai’ which will be going down on 6th of November 2015.
Oh! Chipu will not only be performing in Dubai, he will also entertain audience in Doha, Qatar on 20th November.
His trip doesn’t end in the Middle East. The humorist will also crack jokes in Kigali, Rwanda on December 18th. But before he makes his way to the tiny East African nation, he will amuse Nairobians at Hilton Hotel on 27th November.
Chipukeezy tells me he wouldn’t disappoint his audience since he has been rehearsing for his standup comedy for the last 6 months.
