The Pan-African network was started by Nduka Obaigbena, a Nigerian publisher. According to the Website, they are “a global media network reflecting the experiences of under-served communities, championing the voices of the African diaspora across all continents and engaging citizens of the world.”
The 24-hour news network also says, “Our international focus is on global news and current affairs from a distinct perspective, while ARISE America will focus on U.S. news and current affairs through the eyes of communities currently ignored by mainstream media.”
Jeff Koinange is one of the talents that have been picked from all around the world and will work as an anchor together with Debbye Turner Bell. Other professionals drawn to the station include Michael Wilson (Director of Business), Lola Ogunnaike (correspondent), Heather Scott (correspondent), Tom Walsh (East Africa correspondent) and Danny Vincent (Beijing correspondent).
Jeff Koinange, who has also worked as an actor, joined K24 as an anchor and host of the popular Capital Talk, was a correspondent on CNN.
