Top TV Actor Ventures Into Music

A lot of artistes usually start out their careers in music and end up in acting: like Beyonce, Chris Brown, Rihanna and recently Wu Tang Clan’s RZA. In Kenya, the progression is in reverse order. There’s a number of actors who are now turning to music.

Janet Kirina tried her hand at music and even got two Kisima Award nominations for her efforts. Now, Bernard Safari–who you might know as Jobu from Beba Beba–is venturing into the music industry.

Jobu has released a new song titled Shika Doh and even appeared on One FM’s One Drive show with Adelle for an interview where he spoke about the track. Besides Beba Beba, the young thespian has also starred in this year’s Nairobi Half Life and Captain of Nakara among other productions as member of cast and crew.
