NATALIE PORTMAN FOR KENYAN SECONDARY SCHOOL GIRLS

American movie star Natalie Portman was just this week announced as an ambassador for Free the Children project as well as teaming up with Dior for it’s latest fragrance campaign, Miss Dior Cherie.

As a mother and the organization’s newest ambassador, I am grateful to Free the Children for giving me the opportunity to channel my passion and love of children into meaningful action that furthers the education and leadership of young women for years to come,” Portman said in a statement released to E! Online. “I hope others join me in supporting this important cause.”

Proceeds from Dior’s latest Rouge lipstick will go towards Free the Children’s program in Kenya to give scholarships to girls in secondary schools.

Natalie Portman, most prominent for her role as the ‘Queen of the Nabu’ in the Star Wars trilogy, won an Oscar last year for her role in ‘Black Swan’.
