KENYAN HEROS ‘SHUJAAZ.FM’ SCOOP A KENYAN FIRST (UPDATED)
The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences awarded multi-media communications project “Well Told Story” with a Digital Emmy Award, Kenya’s first ever, at a ceremony on Sunday night, 1st April 2012, in Cannes, France.
The award was given at the 2012 MIPTV, which is an annual event in the French provincial town and is essentially a content market for co-producing, buying, selling, financing and distributing entertainment content.
The Academy’s President & CEO Bruce L. Paisner joined more than 300 executives from the television, broadband and mobile industries for the ceremony organized in partnership with Reed Midem to kick off this year’s MIPTV market.

Educational project Well Told Story (Shujaaz Fm), designed to inspire and motivate millions of Kenyans to take action to improve their lives, won in the Children & Young People category.
Shujaaz.Fm which is created, designed and produced by Well Told Story, a communications company based right here in Nairobi, is a monthly sheng comic book that seeks to highlight issues affecting the youthful population in the country as well as empowering them through meaningful and relevant advice.
