They Never Learn! After CNN Called Kenya a ‘Hot Bed of Terror’, another International Media House Gets Attacked For Unflattering Comments about The +254
A few months ago CNN fell in the line of fire after they called Kenya a ‘Hot Bed of Terror’ prior to Obama’s visit.
Now New York Times, a reputable publication is getting roasted on Twitter for fabricating Mugabe’s quotes against Kenya. Quotes that started an online onslaught against the poor Zimbabweans who were met with a barrage of insults.
An article published by Jeffrey Gettleman reads in part “Even Robert Mugabe, the longstanding ruler of Zimbabwe, hardly known for good governance, was quoted as saying this past weekend, “Those people of East Africa shock me with their wizardry in stealing.” He added, “You can even think that there is a subject in their universities called Bachelor of Stealing.”
Mr. Mugabe told his countrymen to be on “high alert” in case they visited Kenya. “They might infect you with that disease.”
Problem is, the NY Times quoted a non-factual blog and displeased Kenyans
