Total Anarchy On Mombasa Road, Motorists Using The Wrong Side, Accidents And Standstill Traffic Past Midnight (Photos)

Yesternight’s heavy downpour caused panic and motorists plying Mombasa Road decided to employ unorthodox strategies to beat the heavy traffic.

By around 4:30, traffic along Mombasa Road was already on a snail’s pace just past Bellevue. It took more than an hour to drive from Bellevue to GM.

By the time the heavens opened, Mombasa Road was already clogged with vehicles that barely moved 30 centimeters every 25 minutes.

That’s when drivers decided to flout all traffic rules. And this caused mayhem. Overlapping, driving on the wrong side of the road, and all sorts of madness was witnessed on Mombasa Road.

Accidents were also in plenty as drivers in their hurry rammed into other vehicles. The situation was like this way past midnight.
