Angry Bomet Residents Give Police A Hard Time As They Barricaded Roads Baying For The Blood Of Chelele’s Husband (Photos)
Protesting Bomet residents paralyzed business for hours as they engaged the police in running battles in a bid to get their hands on the key suspect in the brutal murder of Diana Chelele.
The police took Chelele’s husband, Eric Musila, to Bomet to aid them in their investigations but his presence sparked fury from local residents.
Chelele was found murdered and her body dumped outside her house in Kapwen, Bomet County on January 9, 2016.
Her husband is believed to have killed her judging from the deceased last words before she was discovered dead.
Chaos erupted in Bomet the moment police took Mr. Musila there. Residents barricaded roads and lit bonfire as they protested against the brutal murder of the fallen singer.
The police had a difficult time controlling the crowd and safely transporting Musila to Kericho where he’s being incarcerated as his case proceeds in court.
